Indigo Home Studio Philosophy
Thoughtful Planning....
I believe that great design begins long before finishes and furniture—it starts with a clear vision, thoughtful planning, and an understanding of how a home should truly live. With over two decades of experience, guiding clients through the home building process, I've had hundreds of conversations with homeowners about their design regrets, their frustrations about function and the things they love most about their homes. I've seen how small oversights on paper can lead to frustration and costly changes down the line. I use this knowledge to help my clients weigh every option- to consider each decision they make with real life feedback. My approach is rooted in proactive problem-solving, honest guidance, and clear communication. I partner closely with clients to review their plans, ask the right questions, and bring attention to the small details that make a big difference.
Timeless Design.....
When designing a home, it's important not to follow trends too closely. They can easily become outdated and leave you feeling dissatisfied with your space. I focus on creating a timeless foundation—neutral color palettes, classic architectural features, and quality materials that are enduring and flexible. This stable base allows you to incorporate trendy elements in smaller, easily changeable ways, like accents, lighting fixtures, or wall art. I've seen many trends come and go over the years. I also understand the elements of timeless design. You can enjoy the freshness of current styles without the need for frequent, costly overhauls, ensuring your home remains both stylish and enduring.
Your Style, Elevated.....
I've had some clients tell me they initially felt hesitant to hire an interior designer. They were concerned that a designer would come with their own agenda - be pushy about their opinions and they'd end up way over budget with a space that isn't their own. My goal is to guide and educate my clients, keeping them in the driver's seat. I'm not designing for myself, I'm designing for them. By combining old fashioned service and modern tools, I help my clients feel confident and calm during what can be an overwhelming process.
Old School Values.....
Just as important as the design process, are the values that guide that process. My values are simply old school: honesty, dependability, integrity and treating others the way I'd like to be treated. I bring intuitive insight and thoughtful planning to ensure each home aligns with how my clients want to live and feel-long before the foundation is poured.
